Patient Preferences in the Management of Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration: A Conjoint Analysis.
This study aimed to understand what matters most to people receiving treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), an eye condition that can damage central vision. Patients are often treated with injections into the eye to help slow vision loss and preserve sight.
Researchers surveyed 466 patients across 10 countries who had been receiving anti-VEGF treatment for at least a year. The survey explored what patients value most about their treatment, including its effects on vision, side effects, clinic visits and emotional well-being.
