Foundation Fighting Blindness Announces New Funding Opportunities

The Foundation has identified Research Priority Areas that align with its mission, and this targeted open call for application is to address specific gaps identified in current retinal disease research. The Foundation Fighting Blindness expects to fund at least five new Individual Investigator Research Awards and up to three Clinical Innovation Awards that address the goals of the Clinical Research Priority Area that will be awarded June 2022.
Letter of Intent Deadline: November 5, 2021

The Program Project Award (PPA) is intended to enable studies that are too large or complex for a single investigator to undertake in a reasonable amount of time and to address gaps in our current knowledge or therapeutic options. The PPA must be unified around a single, well-articulated hypothesis and a clearly defined deliverable(s), relevant to the mission of the Foundation. The teams supported by a PPA must be tightly integrated and sharply focused, freely share data and creative ideas, and each be essential to the common goal.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness expects to fund one new Program Project Award that will be awarded September 2022.

Letter of Intent Deadline: November 5, 2021
