The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) online education course on patient data is scheduled for Thursday June 25th 10am -12pm EDT.
This course, which is organised by RI CEO Avril Daly and RI Director of Research Policy, Dr. Orla Galvin, will highlight the importance of public patient involvement (PPI) AND provide practical guidance on why and how people living with sight loss can have a role in the development and execution of benchtop and clinical research studies.
Additionally, there will be a discussion of how patients and their caregivers can bring stakeholders together to address gaps in research, and the unique roles patients can play in prioritising a research agenda – before and during clinical development. Expert patient advocates and researchers will speak at the online event, and includes presentations from RI Members Fighting Blindness Ireland and Foundation Fighting Blindness, and so is certainly not an event to be missed!
This ARVO education is also Continuous Medical Education (CME) accredited.
Registration stays open until Wednesday 24th June so book your place now on the ARVO website!
