I am a psychologist, specialized in behavior analysis (Paradigm) and a PHD candidate in visual sciences at Federal University of São Paulo. I work as a volunteer psychologist at the Genetic Ocular Clinic in Federal University of São Paulo. An institutional psychologist at Retina São Paulo Group and a psychotherapist in a private clinic.

I work for the humanization of health and the social inclusion of people with disabilities. I am a person with Leber congenital amaurosis, because of this, I work with patient associations such as Director in Bengala Verde Brazil, Patient Advisory Board in Eyes on the Future and as Chair of the Youth Council of Retina International

Vice Chair: Vincent Fuchs

I am myself affected by a retinal disease (chorioideremia) and therefore understand the challenges and needs that young people in this situation face. My personal experience has shown me how important it is to have a strong voice for the concerns of those affected. A particular incentive for me is the opportunity to network worldwide and to represent the needs and interests of young visually impaired people as part of a team.

I have already gained a wide range of experience in my life and I would like to use this to help promote dialogue between those affected and work together to find
solutions. Improving the quality of life of young people with retinal diseases is close to my heart.

Through my previous work in the field of health promotion (as a physiotherapist as well as my extra professional commitments) and my passion for supporting others, I am convinced that I can make a valuable contribution in this position. I bring commitment, empathy and a willingness to actively work to improve the lives of people with retinal diseases.

Secretary: Marina Leite

I am from Brazil and have been engaged with patient associations worldwide for almost ten years. I have Stagardt Diseases and have been involved with the Retina International Youth Council for the past few years.

I am a Grupo Virtual Stgardt (Brazil) coordinator and trustee at Stgardt’s Connected (UK). I have also connected with Retina Brasil, Retina Minas (Brazil) and Retina Iberoamérica. Moreover, I have studied innovation in public policy and has experience working with inclusion.
