The Panhellenic Association of Retinal Diseases (P.E.A.) represents People with Visual Impairments (Blind & Partially Seen) who suffer from degenerative inherited diseases of the retina, macular degeneration and optic nerve.
Founded in 1989, it has been developing locally, nationally and internationally, activities aimed at finding treatments for the Diseases it represents, preventing blindness, promoting rehabilitation issues (visual aids) and integrating People with Visual Impairment (AMPO) .
At the same time, it develops activities to inform patients – members about research developments, raising public awareness about problems faced by AMPOs, information of scientific and other bodies, organizations (disabled associations) and services in the public and private sector.
