Retina Portugal (ARP) is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, non-profit, nationwide, with headquarters in Lisbon and with a special focus on retinal diseases and other causes of Low Vision. It was founded in July 1997 and currently has more than 2000 members, distributed across all districts of Mainland Portugal and Islands.
Our Association’s main objectives are: the promotion of visual health; valuing the quality of life and the social inclusion of its members. Our objectives are based on the concept of health defended by the World Health Organization – WHO (which defends physical, psychological and social well-being).
